Six Batters Who Have Scored The Fastest 5000 Runs In Test Matches

In cricket, the test match is the most challenging format for any player in this world. The Test match is also the traditional format and the first format played in cricket.

To achieve success in Test matches, one should have patience because the bowlers are always in the game, and that why whatever little and more the batsmen achieve in this format is commendable.

Scoring five thousand thousand runs in cricket is not easy and scoring those many runs in Test matches at a quicker pace is not easy because the batsmen needs to apply themselves and grind it out in the hot sun.

The batsmen who have achieved the feat of scoring the fastest five thousand Test runs are genius. So today, we shall name the six batters who have got to this milestone in their glorious careers –

Sir Don Bradman – In cricket, there is only one Don, and he is none other than Donald Bradman of Australia. He is the fastest batsman to score 5000 runs in the longest format.

He achieved this feat in just 56 Test innings, and he did it against England in 1928. There are many records in test matches that Sir Don has created, and that’s why he is still the best test match player in the world.

Jack Hobbs – He is the second player to complete the 5000 run mark in test cricket faster. Hoobs was known for his record in the first-class cricket arena. He had scored 61760 runs in FC Cricket with an average of 50.70.

Jack was the master of first-class cricket because he had recorded 199 centuries and 273 half-centuries. Hoobs scored his 5000 runs against Australia in 91 test innings, the second-fastest in Test history.

Gary Sobers – The Windies player will feature in this list as the third player. The great Gary Sobers had an excellent career in the Test arena. He has scored 8032 runs in 93 matches at an average of 57.78. He has also scored 26 Test tons and 30 fifties.

Sunil Gavaskar – The former Indian skipper Sunny Gavaskar was the greatest opener in Indian Cricket History. He was also the first to get to the milestone of 10,000 runs in the Test matches. But before that, Gavaskar was the fourth-fastest player to complete the 5000 run mark in Test cricket. Sunny took just 95 innings to complete this feat against The Aussies in 1979.

for about a year and am concerned about switching
to another platform. I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net.
