BCB Denied Giving NOC To Mustafizur When Approached by IPL 2020

Mustafizur Rahman is Bangladesh’s left-arm pace bowler, he is a well-designated bowler in the world. His pace and dedication towards the game are immense and people love him because of his positive attitude towards cricket.

He is the best pacer from the Bangladesh side, and his game in white-ball format is good. But for the test, he was not picked as such while his performance so far has been limited to one-day internationals and T20s only after March 2019.

BCB denied giving NOC’s to Mustafizur because he had an injury in IPL 2018, and hence was imposed restrictions to play overseas by the board.

Pacer selected For IPL 2020!

For IPL, Rahim was approached by two teams. Both Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders have an empty slot for a fast bowler, as Mumbai Indians had dropped Lasith Malinga, and were keen to have Mustafizur on their side.

Although Mumbai Indians have now picked up James Pattison to fill the void. Kolkata Knight Riders on the other hand are looking for a replacement for Harry Gurney but have failed to find one yet.

Irrespective of Mustafizur’s demand for the IPL the Bangladesh Cricket Board did not agree for the NOC as he was required to represent Bangladesh against Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka tour is scheduled for three test matches which will commence on 24 October.
