DC vs RCB: Delhi Capitals secure No. 2 spot with six-wicket win, RCB also through to playoffs

Delhi Capitals have been the most entertaining side this season and have finally qualified for the playoffs securing the second spot which means they will now have 2 chances to qualify for the final. They’ll meet Mumbai Indians on Thursday in qualifier 1 of IPL 2020.

Delhi capitals:

Delhi Capitals have played some tremendous cricket this season and the most special thing about this squad is that it is mostly dominated by the youngsters and even their captain Shreyas Iyyer is very young without any prior experience of captaincy. Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan have been tremendous as the opening pair building big partnerships and providing them solid foundation for a big score. Their South African pacer pair of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada have been on another level and destroyed almost every opposition’s batting line up. They lost 4 matches in a row but bounced back in style against RCB winning by 6 wickets.

RCB’s season:

RCB also have shown a lot of improvement from the previous season and have won 7 matches this season with AB de Villiers being one of the most crucial member of the squad. In their bowling line up Mohammad Siraj and Yuzvendra Chahal have proved to be important bowlers in countering the opposition. They have also qualified for the playoffs having a good NRR than KKR and will play the eliminator against SRH who finished on third in the points table.
