ENGLAND’S EFFERVESCENT WOMEN’S CRICKET TEAM TO TOUR PAKISTAN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY

Every country’s respective Cricket Boards are trying to figure out a way to promote and actually make happen Women’s Cricket Tournaments happen. On top of that, the Covid-19 pandemic also hit the world and has made it a bit harder for the councils to schedule their teams especially the Women’s team for international cricket. But the endeavor of ECB (England Cricket Board) to elevate Women’s International Cricket has finally materialized the wish of organizing a tour of England Women’s Cricket Team of Pakistan in 2021.

Pakistan Proud to Welcome Women’s Team!

Strangely, the Women’s Cricket Team of England has never toured Pakistan before and this year on the 14th of October this team will blaze the trails for upcoming legacies of the team. There have been planned 2 T20 Internationals and 3 ODIs between the Pakistan and England’s Women Teams. The last match, which was a One Day International, played by the two Women’s Cricket teams was back in 2019 on the 14th of December at Kuala Lumpur and that even with each other. The hindmost time Pakistan Women’s National Cricket team played T20I was with Thailand’s Women’s Cricket team in the last year on the 3rd of March before the pandemic.

Now, both the boards have considered this tour as an opportunity for intensifying the cricket relations between the two nations. The England Cricket Board has ratified the news on its official Twitter account,

The Pakistan Cricket Board also took to Twitter to share the auspicious decision made by both the boards.

Men’s Team also Along!

Interestingly, the England Men’s Cricket team will also be present in Pakistan for its two-match T20I series which is set on the 14th and 15th of October 2021 and this team too will tour Pakistan after 16 years i.e. the last time it tripped Pak was back in 2005.

England Women Team’s former captain and current managing director of ECB, Clare Connor expressed that the England team is going to pace for the first time towards Pakistan and this will grant both the teams a chance to be in a healthy competition and majorly and most importantly it will propel the idea of women’s and girls’ encouragement in various fields of sports.

Match with a Motive!

PCB CEO, Wasim Khan also mentioned that the Women’s Cricket will occur before the Men’s one at the National Stadium in Karachi and hence will collect more audiences for both the matches and in turn aware the people for the advancement and development of Women’s Cricket and other games.

That’s a very commendable decision made in the agreement of the two boards. What changes do you think will be brought in the thought process of conventional people? Share with us!
