ENGvsPAK: England won the series 1–0 as the third Test drew.

At the end of the 3rd test match series England able to beat Pakistan by 1-0. There was a continuous disturbance of rain during the match which leads the match to draw in the third and final match. 

With the Test match played at Southampton being held up by parity between rain and low light, England won the 3-match Test series with glory.

England performed exceptionally well in this Test series. After spectacularly winning the first Test, England’s victory in this Test match was also being decided, but the weather was disturbed in the fifth day’s game.

England was 8 wickets away from the innings victory over Pakistan on the fifth and final day. The English team was confident of winning, but the two innings of the 5th day of play ended due to rain. The game did occur in the third innings, but it was challenging for England to win by then.

First Two Innings Drowned In Rain!

On the fourth day of the match, Pakistan’s team landed in front of England in response to the follow-on. England had a 310-run lead over Pakistan. In response, on the fourth day, Pakistan scored 100 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. On the last day of the match, the first innings was washed away by rain.

On the expectation of a second innings after lunch, the victory went away from England. The rain washed away the first two innings. After this, the rain stopped in the third and final innings, and the game started.

Pakistan successfully drew the match in the last innings.

The third innings started after tea. In this, Pakistan did not have to save the Test, but England needed 8 wickets to win. Pakistan started by 2 wickets for 100 runs, and James Anderson gave the Pakistan team a third blow at 109. Anderson completed his 600 wickets with Azhar Ali being dismissed for 31.

After losing the third wicket, Pakistan’s innings were handled by Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq, and both batsmen took the team’s score to 172 runs. Shafiq scored 21 runs, which became the victim of Root.

But by then, Pakistan had prepared an escape roadmap in the match. After this, a 4-over game was played, and the match was drawn with the mutual consent of both the captains.

England won the Test series after 10 years from the Pakistan team.

At the end of the match, 15 overs of play were left. But it did not expect results. Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 63 runs. The last innings saw 27.1 overs in which Pakistan lost only 2 wickets.

England succeeded in winning the Test series over Pakistan after 10 years. Jack Crawley was the man of the match in the last match of the 3-match series, while Jos Buttler from England and Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan became the man of the series.
