Let’s Take A Glance At James Anderson’s Best Performance To Honor His 40th Birthday.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to suggest that English pacer James Anderson, simply adores playing against India since his presence in the bowling attack is just enough to terrorize the opposing batting team.

In the longest format of the game, Anderson has taken more wickets against India than any other side. Additionally, he just defeated India on English soil to get 100 Test wickets.

James Anderson, who was born in Burnley, Lancashire, is presently regarded as the world’s top swing bowler. He earned his England debut in the 2002 season and played intermittently in the team for the better part of five years until late 2007.

He announced his debut with a fantastic performance against Pakistan during the 2003 World Cup, but he was unable to keep up the momentum and eventually left the team.

Today is Anderson’s 40th birthday, therefore it’s time to have a look at some of his incredible bowling performances against India.

  • During the second Test match against India in 2018, Anderson turned up one of his best bowling performances. He took five wickets in the first innings while only giving up 20 runs as India was routed for a pitiful 107. At the end of the game, England had dominated by an innings and 159 runs.
  • Anderson had once more batted through the Indian batting order in that particular Test match. Anderson took four more wickets in the second innings while giving up 23 runs. Overall, Anderson had taken nine wickets in the game, helping the English team to a resounding victory.
  • Back in 2007, Anderson put on another spectacular bowling display during the opening Test matchup with India. He had taken five wickets in the first innings, which India managed to score 201 runs at Lord’s. He took two more wickets in the second innings, continuing his outstanding performance. However, his outstanding performance was ultimately in naught because the game was a draw.
  • In the third Test of the 2014 series against India, Anderson put up an outstanding performance. As India amassed 330 runs in their first innings, he had taken an incredible five wickets. Later, in the second innings, he took two more wickets to help the hosts win the match easily by 266 runs.
  • Anderson’s finest bowling performance against India in the 50-over format came back in 2015. In the third ODI, Anderson showed off some excellent bowling to take four wickets while only giving up 18 runs. Indian batsmen against Anderson appeared to be completely lost as they could only muster 153 runs in 39.3 overs. In the end, England won the match by nine wickets.
