Hardik Pandya Could Be Out For Next Two Matches Due To Injury

In the 24th match of the IPL, Gujarat Titans led by Hardik Pandya defeated Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs and registered their fourth win of the tournament. With this big win, Gujarat team has cemented its place at the top of the points table.

However, something happened during the match, seeing which for a time all the fans of Gujarat got pounding. In fact, when Hardik was bowling the third over of his spell during the match, he got injured and left the field without completing the over. However, after the match, Hardik gave a big update on his injury and said that there is nothing to panic and it was just a cramp.

Hardik Played A Stormy Innings Against Rajasthan

Talking about this match, after losing the toss and opting to bat first, the start of Gujarat was very poor and the team’s first two wickets fell for just 15 runs. After this, captain Hardik Pandya, while handling the innings, played a quick innings of 87 runs in just 52 balls with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes.

Due to this aggressive innings of Hardik, Gujarat could reach the target of 192 runs. Hardik was also adjudged man of the match for his terrific innings. Hardik said after the match that,

“This victory is very special. It’s just a cramp, nothing more serious. Last match I batted 15 overs and this time 17 overs and maybe it is the result, I am not used to batting that long. As a captain, I wanted to bat at number four so that other batsmen would get a chance to play freely. There is fun in captaincy because you can lead from the front. Everyone is enjoying each other’s success together. We have created such an environment and it is working for us. I want everyone to be happy.”

Injured While Bowling

Hardik Pandya, who came to the 18th over of Rajasthan’s innings, got a cramp after bowling three balls, after which he could not bowl the fourth ball. After this Hardik left the field and went out and Vijay Shankar had to complete his over.

In such a situation, it is expected that captain Hardik will be fully fit before the next match of Gujarat. The team’s next match will be played against Chennai Super Kings on April 17.
