How Chennai Super Kings can plug the several holes in their ship

Three-time champions’ Kings not started the way fans were expecting. In this season they managed to win only 2 out of their seven games. One can easily say that Chennai Super Kings have already fallen behind in the race to playoffs.

Well, it’s not different from the 2010 IPL season, we’re the Super Kings were in the same scenario as now. But in 2010 IPL after the first half boosted up and dashed to the playoffs.

And what this season more remarkable is the way Kings went on to seal their maiden title. However, such a late speck looks improbable for an aging squad now. But there are some ways how they could plug the holes and create a chance for themselves to playoffs.

No Pillers In The Batting Order

Kings aren’t looking in the way they are known for. The slow start in the powerplay the struggling middle order and the lower-middle order batsman. There’s a perfect batting line that’s missing when we look at their batting order.

They started experimenting with different ways in the batting order, and it’s what worst than this if you are trying batsman in up the order when your team is just at the door to be kicked from the playoff race.

Their pressure can be easily noticed in the middle order where they are trying unsuccessful changes. It’s not about the middle order, it’s been seen that left-arm all-rounder Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja were sent ahead of the captain Dhoni.

Kedar Jadav anointed at No. 4 now been moved down in the order after the unexpected knock of  7 in 12 balls that somewhat changed the game.

But there should be someone in the batting order whom they could trust, as after a good start by the young Sam Curran as an opener in the last game with a strike rate of 226.67 in his first 10 balls, the team wasn’t able to reach a respectful total.

Not Sixes, Then Rotate The Strike

Kings till now stand with the lowest six counts in this season. It’s obvious that if you can’t hit sixes then at least rotate the strike to continue the runs count on the scoreboard.

Hope the team gets back in the form and continues his race to reach the playoff. This can only be possible if they start making a winning streak from here.
