ICC nominates Kohli, Ashwin for Men’s Player of the Decade Award

Virat Kohli:

If there’s someone in this present era, who can overcome Sachin’s milestones of getting the most runs in all three formats, the name has to be Virat Kohli. The way he has dominated every opposition he has played against, the way he has handled the pressure situations over the past decades and surpassed every record which came in his way.

He took over the captaincy of the Indian cricket team from MS And since then the team has had an aggressive approach to every game. Even when we are losing, the intent to fight and turn the match over is always present. He is a player and a leader who is an asset in all three formats of the game.

Ravichandran Ashwin:

Over the past 7 to 8 years, one of the most crucial players for India has been Ravichandran Ashwin especially on the subcontinent pitches. His ability to bowl in the right areas and get wickets at the right time for team India has helped a lot over the years. In the subcontinent his performances have been a class apart. In the series against big guns like Australia, England and South Africa Ashwin has destroyed these team’s batting line up single handedly
