IND vs ENG 1st T20I, Yesterday Match Result, Highlights: India defeats England by 50 Runs Thanks to The Bat and Ball Work of Hardik.

India defeated England by 50 runs in Southampton on Thursday, with the help of four wickets from Hardik Pandya, who also smashed his first Twenty20 international half-century.

Pandya sprinted to 50 in the first game of the three-match series as India scored 198-8.Before being removed for 51, the 28-year-old struck six fours and one enormous six off Matt Parkinson.

Pandya’s fireworks followed some spectacular strokes that Suryakumar Yadav (39) and Deepak Hooda (33) had used to set the mood.

Pandya also tortured England with the bat, taking 4-33 from his four overs as the visitors could only muster 148 in their feeble attempt to chase down the run total.

India had previously won the toss and chosen to bat first. Their openers gave them a great start, but they lost their wickets quickly afterward.

In the meantime, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya emerged as the middle order.

Even Pandya scored a fifty as India amassed 198/8. If Mills and Jordan had bowled poorly, the score might have been 200.

When England started their 199-run chase, they got off to a terrible start when Bhuvi bowled captain Jos Buttler for a duck.

Hardik Pandya, though, became the first Indian all-rounder to take four wickets and score fifty runs in the same game by shocking England with a four-for. Moeen Ali scored 36 for England during the meantime after a counterattack.

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma, who is again back in the lineup following his recovery from Covid-19, was rewarded for choosing to bat first as the visitors somewhat atoned for their shocking Test loss to England earlier this week.

Ben Stokes’ team led England to their highest-ever Test run chase as they defeated India by seven wickets in the fifth Test.

With that victory, England won their fourth straight match under Stokes and new red-ball coach Brendon McCullum.

Their startlingly successful performance was motivated by a courageous dedication to aggressive strokeplay.

Jos Buttler led England for the first time since taking over as the team’s limited overs captain after Eoin Morgan had a well-deserved sabbatical.
