IND vs ENG 3rd ODI, Yesterday Match Result, Highlights: Ton by Pant and 50 by Pandya Guide India to Victory

On Sunday, India won the three-match series 2-1 after defeating England by five wickets in the last one-day international.

When given the opportunity to bat, England were bowled out for 259, with a total score of 60 from captain Jos Buttler and 41 from opener Jason Roy.

Yuzvendra Chahal grabbed three wickets for 60 runs, while Hardik Pandya finished with a score of 4/24 for India.

Chasing 260, India reached their target in 42.1 overs because of Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 125 and Pandya’s 71.

With the ball, Reece Topley once more shone well, returning with fantastic statistics of 3/35.

Before Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali took control and India could have lost to England, Mohammed Siraj had hit twice in one over to give India a brief lead.

To put England on the back foot, Siraj dismissed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in the same over.

By removing Moeen Ali on 34, Ravindra Jadeja shattered the crucial partnership between Buttler and Ali.

Before England passed the 250-run threshold thanks to cameos from Craig Overton and David Willey, Hardik removed England skipper Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone in the 37th over.

Rohit Sharma called England in after winning the toss and ordering them to bat first. With only 12 on the board, the choice was proving to be costly as they lost two wickets.

However, they managed to retake control of the game thanks to a fifty-plus stand between Moeen Ali and Jos Buttler, who earned 60 points off of 80 balls.

He was effectively backed in the meantime by Moeen and Liam Livingstone. But Hardik Pandya, who eventually took four wickets, used his short balls to get India back into the game.

Ultimately, Chahal made two picks in a single over as England was dismissed for 259 with more than four overs remaining.
