India vs Australia 2020: Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground to Allow 30,000 Spectators Per Day

India vs Australia series has always been much more than just a normal cricket game and has taught us how competitive cricket is played at its best. Records are made, players are made, legends are born and most importantly the emotions of the fans in this series are immense. Over the years the Border Gavaskar trophy (the 4-match test series), the ODIs and the T20s series has produced some memorable form of cricket which will be remembered forever.

Right from Ricky Ponting vs Sourav Ganguly to Dhoni vs Michael Clarke to Virat Kohli vs Steve Smith we have witnessed the most competitive cricket in all three departments. Many records have been created and many broken and recreated by the big players.

High stakes for test series:

After the end of the T20 series and the ODI series with both teams winning one series each, the stage is set for the upcoming Border Gavaskar trophy which is set to begin on 17 December in Adelaide with the pink ball day night test match. After both the teams winning one series each, everyone hoped that this series will be even more competitive than ever before.

MCG to have a big crowd:

This is the first series after lockdown that has allowed spectators inside the stadium. Around 25-30% of the total crowd was allowed in both the series so far. However in the MCG when the Boxing Day test match is played, it is expected that a crowd of 30000 will be allowed by the Aussies authorities. It will be great to see such a large audience witnessing cricket after a long time.

More such information from both on and off the field is regularly available on our website so stay tuned for more.
