IPL 2021 – Match 7 Rajasthan Royals Vs Delhi Capitals Match Preview

The seventh match of the Indian Premier League 2021 season is between the Double RR’s and Delhi Capitals. The RR vs DC encounter is being played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium tomorrow. We know the pitch at Wankhede for good for batting. So the fans of RR and DC will expect another run feast on Thursday, 15th April 2020.

Delhi Capitals won their first match of IPL 2021 season in impressive style. Rishabh Pant and his men beat Dhoni-led CSK in style at Mumbai. DC started their IPL 2021 campaign with a new captain after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out.

RR also changed their captain for this season. They went with Sanju Samson as their skipper. Sanju also played a captain’s knock. But he couldn’t get any support from his teammates in their first clash, which was against Punjab Kings, and that’s why they lost to PBKS by a margin of just four runs.

Both the teams need to sort their bowling before this high run-scoring affair. RR needs to field well.

They dropped two catches which hurt them in the end. RR’s bowling was taken for the cleaners by Punjab’s batsmen and DC, who started well with a couple of wickets against Chennai. They, too, leaked runs in the end.

The fast bowling and the spinners of both teams need to be careful with their line, length and accuracy. Chetan Sakariya was a big positive sign for the Royals.

He will be the player to watch out for in the contest against DC. At the same time, Avesh Khan is another youngster who can be looked forward to. Avesh and Woakes bowled well with the new ball in the game against CSK.

But later on, Woakes and Tom Curran struggled to bowl with the same intensity, line and length. On the other hand, Avesh Khan was economical, and he ended his spell with a big wicket of the former Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This performance should give DC a lot of confidence in Avesh Khan.

The batting department of DC is in classy form. The DC batsmen will like to play again at Wankhede Stadium, where they chased down a good total in the end. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw have a lot to play for.

They need to play to their fixed berth in the World T20 Championship. If these two Delhi openers fire in this tournament, then one spot open to grab for Dhawan and Shaw.

While Rajasthan Royals needs to come out firing after their disappointing loss against Punjab, only Sanju Samson played up to his real potential. Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag Rahul Tewatia were nowhere near their captain in that match. RR is still searching for their second title, and if the others don’t support their captain, it will be difficult for them to succeed in this tournament.

Now The Double R’s will be without their star all-rounder Ben Stokes, who has been ruled out of the whole IPL 2021 season. David Miller is a more suitable option for the replacement of Stokes. Miller is an experienced middle-order batsman, and he will give Samson excellent company in tough run chases.

Probable, Predicted Playing XI for Rajasthan Royals –  Manan Vohra, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, David Miller, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia, Shivam Dube, Shreyas Gopal,  Chetan Sakariya, and Mustifizur Rahman.

Probable, Predicted Playing XI for Delhi Capitals – Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Woakes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Tom Curran, Avesh Khan, and Ishant Sharma.

Will Rajasthan Royals get over the line this time? Or Can DC win another match on the trot? The answers will come to us tomorrow at 7.30 PM IST on Star Sports Networks and Hotstar, JIO TV, Live Cricket TV, and Ten Sports mobile apps for live streaming of the IPL 2021 matches.
