IPL 2021 – Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – Match Preview

The thrilling and grueling Indian Premiere League season continues as match number six of this cash-rich league tournament is played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Surisers Hyderabad. These two heavyweight sides of the IPL will clash at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday, 14th April 2020.

RCB won their first match of the IPL 2021 season while the orange army, SRH, started their 2021 campaign with a loss against Kolkata Knight Riders.  Both the teams have been in evenly matched contests since they met in the IPL 2016 final, where SRH won by eight runs.

They will play this game in the neutral venue as there will no home games for this competition. SRH and RCB have enjoyed success at home. RCB has won 12 matches against Hyderabad while the orange army went past Virat and his men 15 times.

But at the neutral venues, Royal Challengers Bangalore has the edge over Warmer and co. RCB has won ten of the 17 matches played neutrally. Sunrisers Hyderabad has sneaked past the Bangalore Challengers only seven times.

The Challengers had a morale-boosting win over the defending champions Mumbai Indians in their first encounter of the IPL 2021 season. Virat and his men will want to continue the same form and intensity over the orange army tomorrow.

In the first game, Glenn Maxwell’s form will give RCB much-needed confidence in the Aussie all-rounder. Maxwell played well in the first match. His 39 runs kept his team in the hunt of that run chase.

But they will rethink their batting order against SRH. Devdutt Paddikal, the rising star, is fit and ready to face the orange army in his first game. Paddikal will be keen to do well with skipper Kohli as his opening partner for this IPL 2021 season.

RCB will push Washington Sundar down at the number 6 position and drop Rajat Patidar from their playing XI. AB De Villiers, the classy South African, will have responsibility on his shoulders once again. After guiding his team to a thrilling win over MI, ABD will have to deliver such performances to get RCB their maiden title.

RCB’s bowling and fielding were good against MI. Harshal Patel’s mind-blowing spell was the first reason why RCB won that opening encounter. It was Harshal’s five-wicket haul that helped RCB to restrict MI for just 159 runs. RCB will want more similar performances from this young speedster.

Probable, Predicted, Playing XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore – Devdutt Paddikal, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, AB De Villiers, Daniel Christan, Washington Sundar, Kyle Jameson, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shabaz Ahmed.

The orange army will look for a comeback after losing their first IPL 2021 game against Kolkata Knight Riders. They took the SRH pace attack for the cleaners, and it was the spinners who made a difference for them.

They also worry about the top order as Saha and Skipper Warner failed to contribute in the first game. Bhuvnesh Kumar and Natarajan were in good form in the series England. But against KKR, they didn’t get any assistance from the pitch, and that is why they leaked runs.

Rashid Khan and Mohammed Nabi made a huge difference for SRH in the first game. The orange army shouldn’t drop them from their playing XI as the Cheapuk wicket in Chennai might assist these two spin bowlers.

Losing Kane Williamson hampers the balance of the side. The current Kiwi skipper and the former SRH captain is the one who holds the fort in the middle order for Hyderabad. Williamson is not fully fit for the next game as well. He still needs to regain his full fitness to play the IPL 2021 matches.

SRH can open with Warner and Saha. But they need some all-rounders like Jason Holder and Kedar Jadhav who could bowl and bat. SRH will have to drop Johnny Bairstow and Vijay Shankar to make a completely well-balanced side.

Probable, Predicted, Playing XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad – David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha, Makedar Jadhav, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma.
