IPL 2022 Purple Cap: Kuldeep & Yuzi Fight For The Cap! Who’s On The List?

The thrill of IPL 2022 is increasing day by day and with this, the competition among bowlers to take wickets has also intensified. In this season, along with the team of Rajasthan Royals, its players are also working hard, that is why Rajasthan Royals bowlers are leading in the Orange Cap as well as the Purple Cap race. After the 41st match of IPL 2022, what has changed in this list, let’s take a look at it.

Kuldeep Yadav Entered Top-5

So far in IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals bowler Yuzvendra Chahal is leading the race for the Purple Cap with the most wickets. Chahal has taken 18 wickets in this season while bowling brilliantly. In the Delhi Capitals vs KKR match played today, Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets while bowling brilliantly for Delhi and made it back to the top-5 in the list of Purple Cap.

Kuldeep Yadav has now come second in the list of Purple Cap of IPL 2022 and is only one wicket away from Chahal. Let’s say that now there is a close contest between Chahal and Kuldeep. Kuldeep Yadav had to be dropped after Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik joined the Purple Cap race after the match played on the previous day, but today he has added his name back to the list after bowling brilliantly against KKR.

Due to their arrival, Mohammed Shami and Bravo of Gujarat Titans had to go out of the top-5. Along with Shami, Umran Malik and T Natarajan also lost a place each.

The Top 5 Indian Bowlers Dominate

After the 41st match of IPL 2022 played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, some exciting changes were seen in the Purple Cap race. At present, in this list, Rajasthan Royals’ star bowler Yuzvendra Chahal has captured the Purple Cap, taking 18 wickets while playing 8 matches.

At the same time, Kuldeep Yadav of Delhi Capitals has come second with 17 wickets in the match played today. Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler Umran Malik lost a place due to his move to the second position and he has come third with 15 wickets in 8 matches.

His teammate player T Natarajan has also come in fourth place in this list, taking 15 wickets in 8 matches so far. KKR’s Umesh Yadav has moved up to the fifth spot with 14 wickets and Dwayne Bravo dropped out of the top-5 after his fifth spot.

There are still many matches left in this season and many new bowlers can also join this list in the coming matches. So in the coming matches, it is going to be very interesting to see which player can top this list.
