Jofra Archer ready to sign off T20 against South Africa and put his feet up

After a long period of lockdown in all the countries due to the corona virus pandemic, the international cricket resumed with the England vs West Indies series in July-August and after that the IPL took place in UAE in September and October which gave an opportunity to all the players around the world to make a comeback into professional cricket after a long break. Indian domestic players also got a chance to play in the IPL which ensured that their year does not go in vain and many of them were selected for the national team against Australia. Now the international cricket has resumed in full swing with 3 series taking place simultaneously namely England vs South Africa, India vs Australia and Pakistan vs New Zealand. 

Archer to be rested:

Jofra Archer who played the whole IPL and the series against West Indies will sign off from the South African tour after playing the last T20. He is also set to miss the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka as he will be rested for some days now for further tournaments.

Big tours and tournaments in mind:

ECB has decided to rest many other big players too as they have in sight the upcoming India tour, then the T20 World Cup in India and the Ashes in the year end of 2021. Hence they’ll send a team mostly full of new players to Sri Lanka in order to give rest to big players.
