Kamran Akmal: The first wicketkeeper to do 100 stumpings in T20 cricket

A strong, right-handed Pakistani batsman who has played over 140 One day international matches and over 170 test matches has already made a great space in the world of cricket.

Kamran played an international T20 match against West Indies in April 2017 and now has become the first wicketkeeper to affect 100 stumpings in the T20 format. 

Victory Earned 

Kamran Akmal has overtaken some of the most cricket legends like MS Dhoni, Kumar Sangakkara, and Adam Gilchrist in the list of Stumpings.

Kamran has completed this achievement by taking the wicket of Shan Masood. Kamran was representing the central Punjab team and was playing against the southern Punjab team on 13 October in Pakistan. 

Pakistan’s cricket team has also congratulated Kamran on his huge achievement in the shorter format. 

Success Rate

So far, most stumpings in t20 internationals MS Dhoni is on the top with 34 stumpings in 98 matches. Kamran Akmal is not far behind MS with 32 stumpings in 58 matches.

And now the victory is in the hands of Kamran Akmal who is now considered as the first wicketkeeper in T20 for his 100 stumpings.

Comparing all formats, Dhoni has emerged as the most successful wicketkeeper with 123 stumpings followed by Sangakar with 99, RS Kaluvitharna with 75, Moin Khan with 73, and Adam Gilchrist with 55 stumpings.
