Mohammad Siraj: From the alley of Toli Chowki To Brisbane a dream come true for Siraj

This is a story of triumph over hardship in Indian Cricket.

Mohammad Siraj is the son of an auto rickshaw driver making up to the highest level as a sportsman.

From the roads of Toli Chowki in Hyderabad to the alleys of the international pace bowling, Siraj has come a long way.

His extreme happiness when he took his first Test wicket of Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne in the second Test of India vs Australia series 2021 January shows that how he emerged as a successful player against all odds.

In the third match of the series Siraj became the frontline bowler of the pace attack as all the major Indian fast bowlers were badly injured and the rest players including Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur consisted even less experience.

It was like a fairytale for the Hyderabad pace bowler which he would never have imagined.

He was first recognized due to his fighting spirit and the unending desire to perform well in difficult circumstances by P. Jyothi Prasad, the former Hyderabad Ranji Trophy Pacer.

His father Mohammed Ghaus always used to say ‘make the country proud’ but right before the tour began vs Australia 2020, he passed away.

IPL 2017 he was signed for a whopping amount of Twenty-six million Rupees by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Due to which he progressed under the guidance of SRH mentor V.V.S Laxman and many other big names in the team.

Do you think he will perform well in the series against England starting from next month? Let us know and follow us for more real-time updates on cricket news.
