Most difficult batsman to bowl ‘Sachin Tendulkar’

People who love cricket know that names like Sachin Tendulkar and Ian Bishop are taken with great respect as both the players are living legends of the game. The Master Blaster is called God of Cricket and has given a tough time to many world-class bowlers.

Recently in an interview Ian Bishop the former West Indian pacer shared the challenges he had faced while bowling to Sachin Tendulkar.

He said that Sachin was one of the most difficult batsmen he had ever bowled in the 90s. World cup cricket during the ’90s was a time where most of the bowlers are it pacers or spinners were troubled by Sachin Tendulkar and Bishop admits he was one of them from 1988 to 1998 though he had sent Sachin to the pavilion three times.

He said, “Sachin Tendulkar is one of the most difficult batsmen to whom I have bowled in my career. He always used to hit in the straight lines,” while speaking on Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’.

The Master Blaster served Indian cricket for 24 years playing.

He came as a young teenager in 1989 and has a record score of 15,921 runs in 200 Tests and 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs. No one has yet beaten his scores to date.

In addition to this, there are 100 centuries in the name of ‘Little Master’ which no one else has accomplished in the cricket world.

God of cricket Sachin was the first player to make a double century in one-day international cricket in November 2013 on his home ground Wankhede Stadium. He played an important role in the 2011 World Cup win where ‘Men in Blue’ won the cricket world cup for the second time after a long wait of 28 years.

Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina had carried him on their shoulders while taking a victory lap. Maestro scored the second-highest run in that tournament in nine matches and had played important knocks against Australia in the quarterfinals.

He still has a plethora of experience to shape and groom new talent which he is doing through his academy.

A grand salute to the ‘Little Master Blaster’, Sachin Tendulkar; who is also called ‘God of Cricket’.
