Pakistan Cricket Board Made A Domestic Cricket Schedule and Will Be Starting Soon This Month.

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that it will be starting its cricket soon with necessary precautions and safety measures. The board now announced that the domestic cricket would also resume sometime next month. 

A bio-secure environment will be set up for all the matches that will be conducted domestically as extreme caution will be observed as for the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Are There Any Confirmed Dates and What Would Be the Protocols? 

Pakistan Cricket Board said that the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy would take place between 18th, October 2020 and 5th, January 2021. This tournament will take place at Karachi. 

The board has said that all the regulations and conditions are laid down keeping the Covid-19 crisis in mind. They must be mandatorily followed by everyone who is involved in the program. 

The aim is to bring down the travel of players. By doing this it will bring them to ease keeping a safe environment. All players and staff will be located in one place for the tournament to take place which will bring ease for Pakistan Cricket Board to maintain a bio-secure environment for the players.

Pakistan On Resuming Their Cricket 

As we all know everything went on hold ever since this Covid-19 pandemic has hit the world. There has been no sign of cricket in their country since March as the lockdown was implemented. There were about four games from the Pakistan Super League which could not take place due to this pandemic. 

Before restarting the Pakistan Super League games, Zimbabwe will be touring Pakistan for a limited over format. 

Pakistan Cricket Board’s, Director High Performance said that his department has collaborated with the domestic department has been working hard to resume domestic cricket in Pakistan.

He said that in this difficult time of coronavirus, he is glad that PCB has been successful in preparing a full schedule for domestic cricket. Preparing a schedule and looking after the maintenance of precautions is challenging, but it’s important to improve the quality in the game and most importantly maintaining safety standards. 

The domestic season of Pakistan will resume with its National T20 format which will take place 30 September and 18 October. On the other hand, their Under-19 Cup will be commencing on 13 October.
