PCB top officials telephoned National Captain Babar Azam

The Pakistani team has been going through a tough phase for a long time now, they have found it hard to find the right balance between players and hence they have found it hard to get good results for almost a decade now. Their best achievement was winning the champions trophy final vs India.

Apart from that the team has lacked fitness, competency and consistency. A decade ago Pakistani bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif were feared by batsmen all over the world for their pace and bounce. But after they left, Pakistan hasn’t found a consistent fast bowler who they can rely on. Same goes with the batting line up and ever since Misbah-ul-Haq left.

Babar Azam to lead the team:

The Pakistan team is in New Zealand for a tour and this time they have a new captain in all three formats. Their most consistent batsman Babar Azam has been given the responsibility of leading the team in all three formats.

Corona and Pakistan:

When the Pakistani cricket team reached New Zealand for the tour and were tested for corona virus, 6 of the team players tested positive and now have re-tested and declared negative this time around.

The PCB contacted Babar Azam and wished him and his team good luck for the upcoming series and told them to give their best as the whole nation stood firmly behind them.
