PSL 2020: PCB chief Ehsan Mani looks forward to more cricket in Pakistan

After the successful completion of the Indian premier league on November 10, another T20 league, the Pakistan super league has come to a conclusion on 17th November. Karachi Kings won their first ever PSL title after defeating Lahore Qalandars in the final played in the Karachi national stadium behind closed doors. Karachi Kings won the match by 5 wickets.

Babar Azam was named as the player of the tournament in the PSL for his amazing batting performances. PCB chairman expressed pleasure at being able to successfully organise this tournament even in the time of Covid-19. He congratulated the players for giving their best performances. He said that PCB had fulfilled yet another commitment to the Pakistan fans for hosting the PSL.

Final in an empty stadium:

He further said that he was said that the Karachi national stadium had to host the match in an empty stadium with no fans due to the corona virus. He told that he could imagine visuals if the fans celebrating in the back of his mind but sadly there were no fans. He expressed positivity that he hopes to see the fans back in the stadiums in 2021 PSL.

Wants more international cricket in Pakistan:

He also wants that more international cricket must return to Pakistan as they have hardly hosted any international matches after the 2008 terrorist bus attack on Sri Lanka team. He said that they were looking forward to host South Africa in upcoming January/February 2021 and this will increase excitement for the game among fans and increase the viewership.
