Royals Captain Steve Smith Clears Concussion Test Before Playing Against Super Kings

Steve Smith is one of the iconic players in the world of cricket. But, top players like Steve Smith also have to face some kind of challenges, either physical or emotional.

Just a few weeks ago when Australia went against England Steve had missed out on three ODI’s due to concussion-related issues. But, now he has cleared the tests and is likely to play against the MS Dhoni-led team.

The 31- year-old Australian batsman had missed out the opportunity to play against team England, there were doubts that he may not make it in the IPL too. The head coach of R.Royals, Andrew McDonald crushed the rumors regarding Steve’s absence from the team against CSK.

RR’s Coach’s Statements

Andrew says, “Fantastic news that Steve is available. It’s fantastic especially on the back of some setbacks back in England.

It is obviously great to have the skipper back for the first game.”  Andrew making these statements made it clear to the audience that Steve is back and will play in the playing 11.

On the other hand, Steve is eager to play the very first match against CSK. He says, “Had some good rest for a couple of days in Dubai and then got into a bit of running. Hopefully, to pull up well from the hit and be good to play tomorrow”, says the opener of RR.

It will be a big challenge for Steve Smith because players like Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler will be missing out on the first match. Jos Buttler and his family arrived in Dubai separately and need to go 36-hour mandatory quarantine in Dubai.

Steve has marked his return and is all set for his first game. We wish the best for him for his upcoming matches.
