The Points Table And Updates About Purple & Orange Cap: IPL 2020

Every year, it’s not just the chase to win the Cup but there are many things which are looked forward to. One of which is the caps. To get the orange and purple cap is a pride for the players. Each year batsmen and bowlers compete to their respective caps.

The season 13 of IPL in UAE has been fully entertaining as unexpected things are happening. Talking about the orange cap first, KL Rahul the skipper of Punjab is the owner of it as he scored a 69 before getting dismissed by Ankit Rajpoot of Rajasthan in match number nine.

Rahul is leading with 222 runs on board with an unbeaten 132 against Bangalore. Following Rahul, there’s his teammate Mayank Agarwal with 221 runs. Then there are Faf Du Plessis, Sanju Samson, and Steve Smith in the order.

Now comes the purple cap, for the highest wicket-taking bowler. It’s honestly no surprise to see Mohammad Shami top the table with 7 dismissals, looking at his amazing performance. Followed by Shami are Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran, and Sheldon Cottrel with 5 wickets each and then there’s Yuzvendra Chahal with four.
