WASIM AKRAM PICKS FIVE ALL-TIME BEST BATSMEN; CHOOSES SACHIN TENDULKAR AS FIFTH-BEST

There have been some great cricket players that we have seen in the past with high skills and talent. There were a lot of players who came and just amazed people with their powerful performances. Though many of the great players also retired with time and many of the good ones also keep coming. The chain is constantly moving like that. Though if we talk about the top five batsmen of all time, it would a very tough task to choose as there are very large teams of brilliant players, and choosing 5 won’t do them justice. Though the former Pakistani player Wasim Akram was successful in choosing the top 5 batsmen of all time.

  1. The first person on the list that Akram named is Sir Vivian Richards as the best batsman ever. In Sir Vivian Richards’ cricket career of 17 years, the West Indies team had been at the top of the list destroying the bowler’s attacks. He had a strike rate of 90.17 and he had scored 6721 runs in 187 one-day matches that he played. He has scored 8540 runs in 121 test matches.
  2. The second player that Wasim Akram chooses as the best batsman ever is the former player of New Zealand, Martin Crowe who unfortunately passed away five years ago. He had scored 5444 runs in 77 test matches and 4704 runs in 143 One Day Internationals. He played his last match in the year 1996 and after that, he retired from his cricket career.
  3. The third one in Wasim Akram’s best player list is the former West Indies player Brian Lara. He had made some big achievements in his cricket career and also has numerous records in his name. The player had hit more than 20 thousand runs in his cricket career where he played 131 test marches and 299 OODIs.
  4. The fourth one to be chosen by Wasim Akram as the best player is Inzamam Ul Haq. The player has player 8830 runs in test matches and 11739 in One Day Internationals having a score of 35 centuries. He has also helped the team winning some great matches too.
  5. Last but not least in the Wasim Akram’s list is our very own Sachin Tendulkar, the god of cricket. The player has made numerous records in his cricket career along with hitting 100 centuries. He has no doubt one of the best batsmen that the world has ever witnessed.
