World Championship Final – India Vs New Zealand – Test Match Preview

The World test Championship Final will be played between India and New Zealand from 18th June to 22nd June 2021 at Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The match will be aired at Star Sports Networks and live streaming will be available on Hotstar, and free service will be aired on JIOTV, Ten Cricket and Live cricket mobile application. The match starts at 3.30 PM IST.

India will have an evenly matched contest against New Zealand, which has been the case over the years in all three formats. Virat and Williamson are the best batsmen in this modern-day generation as they are averaged fifty in their excellent careers.

Virat Kohli has a better record in England. After a disappointing tour in 2014, King Kohli came back with a bang in that series in 2018. He also scored two centuries in that Test series against the hosts England. But Williamson will also have his say at the crease, and his leadership skills too might come in handy for the Kiwis.

The contest will also be amongst Kolhi’s aggression and Williamson’s calmness. Both are fit players, and their personal excellence will help achieve a better result as both of them will look to win every session in the WTC Final.

India and New Zealand last faced ICC tournament was the semi-final of the ICC 50 over World Cup in 2019 at Old Trafford. Both the teams can win any contest without their respective captains. India won the Test series in Australia under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, and New Zealand won their first Test series on the England sol since 1999 under the leadership of Tom Latham.

The bowling attack of India and New Zealand is top class. But the main worry for India will be the batting in the seam and swing conditions. While New Zealand are favourite to be in this condition and they have warmed up well. The Kiwi hold the edge because they won a Test series against a strong England side.

But still, they cant write off India because of their bowlers who have delivered in all the conditions. The Indian bowlers are in the ICC Ranking of top 20. Ashwin leads the way in that chart, followed by Bumrah, Shami, Jadeja, and Ishant. These bowlers are too good with their line and length. If India’s batting against Boult, Southee, Wagner and Jamieson comes good, they are in the game.

India’s Playing XI – Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Chesteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Risabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

New Zealand Playing’s XI – Tom Latham, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Tom Blundell, Colin De Grandhomme, Ajaz Patel, Kyle Jamieson, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner.
