BCCI Urge ECB For A Warm Game Before The Series

The BCCI has woken up after India’s loss in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand at Southampton for two days. India didn’t play a single warm-up match against England A side or the other side. But they played an intrasquad game as a practice game in the preparation of the WTC Final. But the Kiwis, the WTC winners had a good series against England and they got used to the conditions better than India

The BCCI has written a letter to the England Wales Cricket Board request them to arrange warm-up matches for the Indian team ahead of the five-match series between England and India which starts from 4th August 2021.
The test series will start after a six weeks long gap. So BCCI’s vice president Jay Shah has spoken to the Indian Team and the management who are in England and they all have collectively agreed to have warm-up matches ahead of the Test series against England.


Arun Dhumal said that Jay Shah will speak to the ECB members and their CEO to request them to arrange two warm-up matches for the visiting Indian team. He also wants the ECB to grant two warm-up games so that the Indian team will be in good shape before the series starts.
