DC Vs SRH Match Result (DC Beat SRH By 7 Runs)

Delhi Capital beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 runs in a close encounter match. Delhi Capitals registered their second win of this IPL after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in this match. Delhi Capitals opted to bat first and scored 144 runs in 20 overs.

Mitchell Marsh was looking in good form but couldn’t score a big total and threw his wicket only on 25 runs. DC was struggling but Manish Pandey and Axar Patel built a partnership and took their team to a fighting total. Washington Sundar did a great job with the bowl and took three crucial wickets. 

SRH came to bat and was expecting a steady start. However, Broom got out on just 7 runs off 14 balls. Mayank Agrawal played a classic knock of 49 runs but he didn’t get support on the other hand. Later on, Klassen and Sundar built a partnership with some fiery knocks but they couldn’t take their team to chase the score. 

SRH fell short to just 7 runs in this match and lost 2 important points. The pitch was very slow and the DC bowler did their job very well. Nortje and Axar Patel took 2-2 wickets in this match.

Axar Patel was given the Man of the Match Award for his incredible and all-round performance. When DC was struggling to put some score on board. Axar and Manish Pandey built a solid partnership and Axar Patel scored crucial 34 runs on this touch wicket. On the other hand, he bowled an economic spell by giving just 21 runs in his 4-over spell and picked two important wickets. His all-round performance helped Delhi Capital to win in this important clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

Mayank Agrawal became the highest scorer of this match scoring 49 runs off 39 balls. In this inning, he smashed 7 fours and played a good role as an opener. Unfortunately, he didn’t get any support from the other hands and he also threw his wicket when the team was expecting more runs from him. Overall, he did his job very well and built good pressure on Delhi bowlers. 

Washington Sundar remains the highest wicket-taker of this match who took 3 important wickets of Delhi Capitals and brought them on the back foot. The pitch was slow and supported the bowlers very much and Sundar took the advantage of this opportunity and took quick wickets for his team.
