MI Vs GT Match Preview: Head To Head In IPL

Gujarat Titans will take on Mumbai Indians in the 35th match of this IPL, which will be played on the 25th of April. The match is going to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad where Gujarat Titans would be a bit heavier because of home conditions.

So far this season, both teams have played six matches where GT won four out of six matches and MI won three out of six matches. The defending champion, Gujarat Titans started the tournament very well by winning two matches but then lost a match against KKR when Rinku Singh played a monstrous inning.

GT quickly bounced back but they fell short against Rajasthan Royals. But they continued their winning streak against LSG by winning a low-scoring total. GT batted first in this match and scored only 135 runs in 20 overs where Hardik scored his first half-century of this season. LSG got a great start in this match and they had a required rate of less than 6 at some point in the match. But Hardik did a great captaincy and won the match by 7 runs.

MI didn’t start well this season and lost their first two matches. But they bounced back amazingly and won the next three matches consecutively in a dominant fashion. But in the next PBKS beat them by a short margin.

In that match, PBKS scored 214 runs in 20 overs. MI also got a solid start and also got an amazing performance from the middle order. But Arshdeep Singh did a great bowling performance and restricted MI to 201 runs and won the match by 13 runs. It was an exciting thriller and we may expect another thriller between GT and MI at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Head to Head in IPL

Last year, both teams played a single match against each other. In that match, MI batted first and scored 177 runs in 20 overs. GT couldn’t chase this target and fell short off just 5 runs and MI won that match comfortably.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Narendra Modi Stadium has supported batsmen so far this season and it is expected that the pitch might continue doing the same. The batsmen in both teams are in prime form, so we may expect a high-scoring thriller. Till now, the average first-innings score on this wicket is 185. There is no help for bowlers that much on this wicket.

Weather Report

The sky looks bright and we may not get any interruption in this match due to rain. There will be some humidity that players have to experience and it will be challenging for them to play in such conditions.
