The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is just three days away. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will face each other in the league’s first match on March 26.

Meanwhile, the IPL Governing Council gave a big update on the ticket for the league match. Tickets for the IPL 2022 match will go on sale today, March 23. This time the spectators have to buy tickets online to watch the IPL match.

The Maharashtra government had earlier said. This time the BCCI announced that 25 percent of spectators would be allowed to enter the stadium during the IPL. The board has also announced the sale of tickets. Tickets will be sold online only. Visitors will be able to buy tickets by visiting the official website of IPL and Book My Show from 12 noon on Wednesday.

According to the BCCI, the organizers must abide by all the covid restrictions. Visitors must obey all the rules. At first, it was decided that the spectators would play in the zero stadium. But now that the Corona situation has improved a lot and the board has taken this decision, keeping in mind the insanity of the spectators.

A total of 60 matches will be played during the group stage. According to the statements made by the board, the tournament will only take place in Mumbai and Pune due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The stadiums allowed for Mumbai are DY Patil, Brabourne, and Wankhede, while in Pune, the matches will be played at MCA International Stadium. In total, 55 matches will be played in Mumbai, and 15 matches will be played in Pune. The playoffs will then take place in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium.

In the latest season of IPL, there are two groups. Group A includes KKR, MI, DC, RR, and LSG. While the second, Group B, includes CSK, GT, SRH, PBKS, and RCB. 

Each team will play two matches against the other four teams in their group and two matches against one team in the other group. The remaining four teams will play one match each.

This time, the competition will start with a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. KKR is desperate to get off to a good start with a completely healthy team led by new captain Shreyas Iyer. On the other hand, Dhoni will not get star pacer Deepak Chahar due to injury. So a little pressure on CSK.
