On June 16, 2019, India locked horns with Pakistan in the 2019 ICC World cup played at Old Trafford and defeated Pakistan by 89 runs.
This match saw epic performances by Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav. On one hand, where Rohit exhibited heroic innings Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav carried outstanding bowling.

After KL Rahul’s wicket Virat Kholi stepped in forming a sturdy partnership with Rohit to post a massive total of 336 runs. By then Rohit scored a well-compiled knock of 140 runs.
In response to India’s enormous target, Pakistan’s duo Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam managed to take Pakistan’s tally to 117 while debutant Vijay Shankar faced an early dismissal. However, the pair’s knock-offs were hindered by Kuldeep Yadav as he sent both the batters back to the pavilion.
However, soon the match was interrupted by rain, and of which the match was trimmed by 10 overs. And Duckworth Lewis method had to be used to adjust the target to 302.
Nevertheless, even the adjusted target of 302 runs, seems difficult for them to achieve. And as they failed to make 136 runs in the next 5 overs entire Indian nation was submerged in joy and celebration as they emerged victorious in a pretty easy match against their bitter rivals Pakistan.
And this victory is not an ordinary one because it was the seventh time when India defeated Pakistan in World Cup.
