LSG vs RCB: Match Report, RCB Moves To Qualifier 2 As LSG Exits IPL 2022

The Eliminator match of IPL 2022 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Garden ground in Kolkata, where Bangalore won the match by 14 runs and got the ticket of Qualifier 2. In this match, captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bowl.

Batting first, Bangalore team scored 207 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Rajat Patidar’s century and gave Lucknow a target of 208 runs to win. In response, the Lucknow team scored 193 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of KL Rahul’s strong half-century.

KL Rahul Scored A Half-Century

In this match (LSG vs RCB), Lucknow captain KL Rahul made a very slow start but despite this he scored a strong half-century. Rahul completed his fifty in 43 balls. He faced 58 balls and was dismissed for 79 runs with the help of 5 sixes and 1 four. Hazlewood walks them.

Rajat Patidar faced 54 balls and remained unbeaten on 112 runs with the help of 7 sixes and 12 fours while Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 37 runs in 23 balls with the help of 5 fours and 1 six.

Maxwell’s Bat Did Not Work

Glenn Maxwell had high hopes in this match (LSG vs RCB) but he became a victim of Krunal Pandya after scoring 9 runs. After Maxwell’s dismissal, in 13.1 overs, Ravi Bishnoi walked off Mahipal Lomord, who was dismissed for just 14 runs.

Kohli Flopped Again

A big innings was expected from Virat Kohli against Lucknow but he again flopped in this match. He started moving the innings slowly but he failed to convert his innings into big scores. In this match (LSG vs RCB), Kohli was dismissed for 25 runs in 24 balls with the help of 2 fours. Avesh Khan took his wicket and showed the way to the pavilion.
