MITCHELL STARC LIKELY TO BE SELECTED BY THREE IPL TEAMS THIS YEAR

The Australian paceman Mitchell Starc’s performance in the limited over series has been remarkable for the past few years and due to his left arm action, he can create trouble for the ones on the strike. So that this cricketer possesses these abilities he had made himself a suitable choice for three prominent IPL teams. It is also being said that he may be the most expensive bid of all of the IPL editions. 

The teams which can go for Starc!

Mitchell Starc debuted in the Indian Premier League in the year of 2014. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was the team in which he got the chance to showcase his skills. The RCB bought Mitchell at a very huge amount of INR 5 Crores. He consecutively played 2 seasons back to back for the Challengers and took 34 wickets. 

Although, since 2016 his appearance was irregular because of the constant injuries and he even missed some of the seasons of the World’s Biggest T20 League. For the fact that he got injured several times and RCB was finding it difficult to make its existence into the competition, so the team decided to release the left-arm pacer ahead of the 2018 auctions.

Since these were the things of the past and seeing his current performance and fitness in the recent Border Gavaskar Trophy, there is a high probability that his old franchise RCB led by Virat Kohli can opt for him again. Presently, RCB is lacking in experienced fast bowling and the injury of Dale Steyn has put the team in trouble again and it is left with only three young pacers, Mohammad Siraj, Navdeep Saini, and Kane Richardson.  

But the deal would have gone well for the Australian Pacer as he was bought at nearly just double the price of INR 9.4 Crores by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL’s edition of 2018. That season consequently he was ruled out again due to his prevailing injuries. KKR is kind of resembling the problem that would be faced by the Challengers that it has a deficiency of veteran pacemen. With Pasiddh Krishna and Sandeep Warrior from the Indian side and Harry Gurney and Lockie Ferguson from overseas, KKR’s bowling is looking a little weak, so they might repeat their decision of taking him into the team again. 

On the other hand, CSK (Chennai Super Kings) who has spin dominated bowling unit wants to add a fine pacer into their team. So, the third team which can go for Mitchell is CSK. 

We have seen him bowling fine Yorkers in the death overs and he is capable of swinging the new ball, this makes him an ultimate white-ball cricketer.
