RCB Vs KKR Match Preview: Head To Head In IPL

Royal Challengers Bangalore is ready to face Kolkata Knight Riders in 36th match of this IPL, which will be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore on 26th April. KKR have won only two matches in this season and they beat RCB in their previous match. The winning margin was huge and that’s why RCB would like to comeback against KKR. 

However, KKR is searching for a third win in this season to continue their presence in the IPL for the playoffs. RCB won four out of seven matches and they would take revenge in this match for that humiliating loss. 

In IPL 2020, RCB played two matches against KKR and dominated in both the matches. In the first match, RCB batted first and scored 194 runs in 20 overs but KKR restricted only to 112 runs and RCB won that match with a huge margin.

In the second match, KKR batted first and scored only 84 runs in 20 overs. RCB chased that target comfortably in 13 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. 

Three matches were played between these teams in this season. In the first match, RCB batted first and scored 204 runs in 20 overs but KKR was restricted to 166 runs by RCB bowlers and won that match by 38 runs. In the second match, RCB batted first and KKR restricted RCB batters only on 92 runs and KKR chased that target comfortably in 10 overs and won the match by 9 wickets. In the third match, RCB scored 138 runs in 20 overs. KKR struggled in this chase but they did it in 19.4 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. 

Only one match was played between KKR and RCB in 2022 where RCB won that match by 3 wickets. KKR batted first and scored only 128 runs in 20 overs. RCB chased that target in 19.2 overs and won the match by 3 wickets.

Bengaluru wicket is batting friendly in most of the matches and will continue to favour batters. The batsman can score some quick runs but as the pitch gets used to play, it will start getting better for spinners. Overall, we can expect a high scoring thriller in this match.
