Rajasthan Royals got a comfortable win against CSK by 32 runs. RR has claimed the top no. spot in the points table by winning against CSK. RR batters did their job amazingly on this balanced wicket. They scored 204 runs and restricted Chennai Super Kings to 170 runs. All of it started with Jaiswal’s remarkable batting performance with Jos Buttler. RR lost their first wicket in the 9th over when the score was 86 runs. Thereafter, Samson and Hetmeyer couldn’t make a huge impact but Dhruv Jurel and Paddikal built a great partnership and took RR’s score to 202 runs.
CSK’s fast bowlers weren’t that effective and were conceding at least 10 runs in every over. With that bowling performance, RR got prepared to use their spinners well in these conditions. When CSK came to bat, they didn’t get a good start. They were looking for a quick start but Rajasthan bowlers were amazing with the ball.
Ajinkya Rahane couldn’t make any impact in this game but Shivam Dubey was consistent with his batting skills. He brought some lights in when CSK came and scored a half-century. Still, the target was big and RR spinners were delivering up to expectations.
Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali also smashed some quick runs but they fell short of 32 runs. Adam Zampa was the real hero of Rajasthan’s bowling side. He got a good contribution from other spinners as well. After this match, RR climbed to the top spot of the table and CSK is now at third position. Both teams have to perform in their upcoming matches to claim the spot for playoffs. Still, they have many matches to keep themselves alive in this tournament.
