Sourav Ganguly Shares Big Update On End Of Bio Bubble

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has given a big statement regarding the possibility of removing Bio-Bubble in future. Ganguly believes that if the cases of Covid-19 keep decreasing in India, then it can be considered. Last year, the IPL was postponed midway due to the increasing cases of corona in India and the remaining part of it was held behind closed doors in the UAE.

Covid-19 will last for next 10 years

During a recent interview, Sourav Ganguly said that,

“If the cases of Covid-19 do not increase in the country, then bio-bubbles may not be required in IPL. But, we will have to wait and see how long they will be able to play at the same venue. Covid is here stop – it will be around for 10 years, so we have to live with it.”

IPL is being played in India this year

However, this year IPL is being organized in India with the permission of the spectators. But the entire IPL is being held at only four venues in Maharashtra, with teams creating a strict bio-bubble. In such a situation, Ganguly has indicated that the BCCI is considering removing the bubble from the IPL in future. covid-19 has knocked in the current season of IPL as well.

This year, even after strict covid protocol, cases of corona were reported in the Delhi Capitals team, in which many members of the support staff including Mitchell Marsh, Tim Seifert were found positive. For this reason, the schedule of some matches was also changed.
