CSK VS RCB Match Preview: Head To Head In IPL

RCB and CSK are two most popular teams of the IPL because of some talented players in the team. In IPL 2023, we will see the battle of CSK and RCB on 17th March at Chinnaswamy Stadium from 7:30 pm.  Both of these teams have already got recognition because of their performance. We all are waiting for this exciting encounter since the start of the IPL and no need to wait anymore. 

Two matches were played between both of these teams and 1-1 March won by each of the teams.  In the first match, RCB batted first and scored 169 runs in 20 overs where CSK couldn’t chase this target and reached only to 132 runs and lost the match by 37 runs. In the second match, CSK restricted RCB to just 145 runs and chased that target in 18.4 overs and won that match by 8 wickets. 

In IPL 2021, CSK dominated over RCB in both the matches. In the first match, CSK batted first and scored 191 runs in 20 overs where RCB reached only 122 runs and lost that match by a huge margin of 79 runs.  While in the second match, RCB batted first and scored 156 runs in 20 overs. To answer this, CSK batted calmly and chased the target for just 18.1 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. 

In IPL 2022, the teams have played two matches against each other. In the first match, CSK batted first and scored a massive score of 216 runs in 20 overs. RCB also batted well but couldn’t reach the target and CSK restricted them to 193 runs and RCB lost the match by 23 runs. In the second match, RCB batted first and scored 173 runs in 20 overs. CSK could reach the score of only 160 runs and lost that match by 13 runs. 

This match is very important for both of the teams and it is the home ground of RCB, so RCB will have this advantage. Afterall, Chinnaswamy Stadium is famous because of scoring too many runs.  But the last match played at Chinnaswamy Stadium was not completely favoring the batsman. It was a slow wicket and that’s why RCB defended the target of 175 runs. It will be interesting to watch the clash of both of these teams. 

The interesting thing was that the booking of the tickets was closed very soon after it opened to the public. CSK lost their last match against RR by just 3 runs and they would like to comeback in this match. 

The pitch of Chinnaswamy has been favoring batsmen since the last few years and no score is safe at this venue. The team winning the toss would like to bowl first because chasing is somewhere easy on this wicket. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad is in a prime form and on a Bengaluru wicket, CSK will expect high score innings from him. On the other hand, Kohli, Faf, and Maxwell can also score some big runs for their team and it would be amazing to watch some high scoring knocks on this wicket. 

If we talk about bowlers then Siraj is in prime form who is doing counter attack in power plays. That’s the best thing for RCB that they are keeping power plays under their control. On the other hand, Jadeja is doing exceptional bowling from CSK’s side and MSD will expect the same performance again.
