It was the 15th Match of the IPL 16, which was played at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore in which LSG beat RCB by just 1 wicket in a close encounter and grabbed two points to take their team to the top of the points table.
We have encountered a thrilling match in Bangalore where both of the teams have given a solid batting performance but LSG remains one step forward and makes their team win against RCB.
LSG won the toss and elected to field first. RCB came to bat and made a big score of 212 runs in 20 overs by losing only 2 wickets. It was a flat wicket and LSG gave a solid reply after losing some 3 crucial wickets in power plays.
LSG was under pressure after losing some wickets but Stoinis and Pooran played some exceptional innings to reach this massive target and make LSG win.

As it happened
RCB got a solid opening start and lost their first wicket to Kohli in the 12th over when the team’s score was 96 runs. Then Maxwell came to bat and went with a steady start. At some point, it looked like RCB would score around 180 runs. But Du Plessis and Maxwell started playing their thunder knock in which Maxwell got out on 59 runs in just 29 balls. Du Plessis has also made a great contribution with the bat and scored not out 61 runs in 44 balls.
Avesh Khan was the most expensive bowler who gave 53 runs in his 4 overs spell without taking a single wicket.
LSG came to bat with a positive approach but didn’t get a good start. Everyone was expecting a big knock from Kyle Mayers after looking at his form. But he didn’t build any impact on his team.
After 5 overs, LSG scored 33 runs off 3 wickets. No one expected LSG to bounce back from that position. However, Stoinis started his innings with some classy shots and built a great partnership with KL Rahul on the other hand. In the 11th over, Stoinis got out on 65 runs off 30 balls.
Pooran came to bat and started building his innings with some fiery knocks. KL Rahul also lost his wicket but Pooran was not stopping and made the fastest fifty of this IPL in just 15 balls. Ayush Badoni on the other hand was giving a positive response with some quick runs.
In a quick moment, Pooran and Badoni also lost their wickets and RCB came back into the match again. But in the last over, Harshal Patel had to defend 5 runs, still, he took the match to the last ball but couldn’t defend this score.
LSG won that match in the last ball of the innings. It was a nail-biting finish and can be said as one of the best matches of this season. Even, though it was the highest run chase in Chinnaswamy Stadium and RCB got thrashed again with their poor bowling unit.
