Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians by 54 runs and registered their fifth win in this IPL. MI has to face another clash, which will make a huge impact for them on the points table. Gujarat Titan batted first in this match and put a massive score on the board of 207 runs. Shubhman Gill gave a valuable start but didn’t get support from the top order. Later on, Abhinav Manohar and David Miller built a solid partnership and gave the team good momentum.
GT was expecting 180 runs from their batsman but the score reached 207 runs. Piyush Chawla did his job amazingly and picked 2 important wickets. Arjun Tendulkar also bowled very well in power plays but didn’t get a chance to bowl again. Rohit was expecting a good start for his team but he threw his wicket cheaply and Ishan was also unable to time the ball. Chris Green and Suryakumar Yadav tried to keep the scoreboard running but they also got out after scoring some runs.
In the final show, Nehal Wadhera scored some quick runs and brought his team to a decent total. No batsman of MI was looking comfortable against a quality bowling side of GT. Rashid Khan did the job effectively and took two wickets with an economic spell. Noor Ahmed also got three wickets in his spell and Mohit Sharma also got two wickets in his spell. Ultimately, GT won this match by 54 runs and claimed the second number spot in the points table behind Chennai Super Kings.

Abhinav Manohar got the Man of the Match Award for his exceptional and power-hitting skills. He did his job amazingly and never gave a chance to MI bowlers to come back. He scored 42 runs off just 21 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. At some point, it was looking that GT would finish at around 170-180 runs but Abhinav performed really very well for his team.
Shubhman Gill remains the highest scorer of this match by scoring 56 runs off 34 balls. He has given GT a solid start, which they are looking for. In this inning, he smashed 7 fours and 1 six. He was precise with his timing and did attack only on poor balls.
Noor Ahmed remains the highest wicket-taker for this match who picked 3 crucial wickets of Chris Green, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tim David. He stuck to his line even after getting smashed and that’s why he played a critical role for his team.
